Born and raised in New Jersey, Mr Nicholas Bredimus brought the world of hospitality, airlines, and software together and energized these industries. His career highlights include effort-saving software, aircraft safety enhancements, and he’s even involved in designing luxury homes. And what’s more, in all cases, his passion is evident.

Traceable all the way to classical times, in fact Nicholas’ ancestry can be linked to multiple nations within Europe. Within the maternal branch he descends from Scottish and German ancestry. A similarly broad mix dominates the paternal line - prior to their emigration in the nineteenth century, Bredimus’ antecedents lived in England and Luxembourg. Once in the U.S., they still worked hard to climb up the social ladder. One of seven siblings - three boys and four girls - Nicholas was blessed with a father working as a mechanical design engineer and a mother who worked as a practicing nurse. He would come to live in Texas, Kansas City, Arizona and a city called Reston in Virginia.

What did he do to capitalize on his upbringing and studies? A series of high-powered jobs were soon his, each working for popular airlines. Among these was included the title of Vice President for Hughes Airwest, Republic Airlines, and Trans World Airlines (TWA). A hard-working programmer, his creative approach to airline software is probably his best regarded legacy.

Nicholas is easily most famous for a US Airways project, designing airplane management software, which eventually became the industry standard. He would go on to examine taking and recording bookings. For both hotels and air travel he produced software systems to take on much of the work necessary prior to this approach. He also coded an industry specific system trademarked QuikTix, the world’s first electronic ticket sales network. Mr Bredimus employed these successes to move into roles which weren’t connected to software development, and we should observe that he went on to augment his reputation. Nicholas worked as manager for American Express’ important IT wing, launched Bredimus Systems seventeen years ago, and became the first president of AMR Travel Services.
